Mariette's obituary reads:
"RENSON, Mariette Orval Mariette Orval Renson, age 97, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2011. She was a native of Liege, Belgium and a resident of Atlanta since 1947. She was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, August "Gus" Renson and her infant son, Robert. Loving mother of Y▮▮▮▮▮ Chrimes of Alpharetta, GA and Jeannine Clotworthy (Robert) of Metairie, LA. She is survived by her grandsons, W▮▮▮▮▮▮ (J▮▮▮▮▮▮▮) and S▮▮▮▮▮ (K▮▮) Chrimes, Robby (Emily), Ricky, and Colin Clotworthy, a granddaughter, Laurie Clotworthy, and two great granddaughters, Narissa Chrimes and Robin Clotworthy. Trained as a seamstress in Belgium, she designed and sewed a wedding dress at age 16. Without a working knowledge of English, she worked at Rich's downtown department store copying and creating Paris designer dresses for their window displays. She continued her long service at Rich's working her way up from alterationist, to fitter, to head fitter to supervisor of the ladies alteration department. Her open friendly disposition earned her the love of her employees and all who were lucky enough to know her. Not only will she be remembered for her exquisite sewing and needlework, but for her talent as an artist, gourmet cooking, and her beautiful soprano voice. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 19 at 2:00pm. at Alpharetta Presbyterian Church."
The birth surname ORVAL is inferred from the death record.
