From The Manchester Evening News of 22 March 1946: "Kitty Dominoes in a Hotel - Arthur Armitage, licensee of the Hawthorn Hotel, Warrington, was fined £10 at Warrington, to-day, for permitting his premises to be used for gaming and betting, by the playing of 'kitty' dominoes. John Chrimes, of Cross-street, Warrington, was fined £3, and James Chadwick, of Chester-street, Warrington, was fined £1 for aiding and abetting the gaming offence. Chrimes was fined a further £3 for using the premises for the purposes of betting."
From The Liverpool Echo of 17 February 1960: "John Chrimes, of 22 Cross Street, Warrington was fined £2 at Warrington today for a one-way street offence while driving a car."
