Raymond's marriage record is chosen on the basis of age and elimination, though the place of marriage is far from Raymond's birthplace. The marriage is indexed as CHRIMES = SHONE but the complementary record is SHONE = CHRINES. This marriage record was subsequently confirmed as correct by a report in the Daily Express newspaper of 11 July 1970. From The Reading Evening Post of 27 July 1970: "BROADMOOR SENTENCE: Raymond Chrimes, 37, said to be living in caravan at London Road, Warmley, Bristol, sent to Broadmoor after pleading not guilty at Stafford Assizes to murder of wife, but guilty of manslaughter". Extract from a report of the trial in The Newcastle Evening Chronicle of 27 July 1970: ... A doctor called by the defence said that Chrimes was suffering from a paranoid psychosis, delusions that he was being persecuted, followed and watched. Mr. Justice Swanwick made a hospital order under a section of the Mental Health Act for Chrimes to be detained in Broadmoor with a no-limit restriction order." The Willenhall/Wolverhampton residence facts cannot be linked specifically to this Raymond, so are speculative. The death record is taken from The London Gazette notice of Deceased Estates, and is presumed to relate to this Raymond based on elimination. This presumption has been tacitly confirmed by Raymond's son. |
