In the 1940 US Federal Census Theodore Dudley and his sister Lucretia were living with their maternal grandparents. Theodore Dudley was known as "Ted". Theodore Dudley's obituary reads: "Theodore (Ted) Chrimes, Ballston Lake, NY. Ted Chrimes, 88 of Ballston Lake, NY passed away peacefully at home on May 22, 2016 surrounded by his wife - Norma - family and his wonderful home health aides, under the care of hospice. He was born in Belmont, NY, son of Theodore Dudley Chrimes Sr. and Martha Hosley Chrimes. Ted began his career with the NY Telephone Company in Buffalo, NY where he met his loving wife Norma (Sprowl) Chrimes - married for 65 years. He began working as a lineman in 1944 and retired in 1985 from 'Ma Bell' while working at the Menands, NY Training office as a lead Instructor. His career spanned over 40 years. Ted was a member of St. George's Episcopal Church in Clifton Park, NY since 1968 and a long time member of the Ballston Spa Country Club. He was a devoted husband, passionately caring for Norma over the past few years, an avid golfer, amazing farther, grandfather, and great grandfather - plus a wonderful friend to many. Survivors include his wife Norma, his 3 children, Ted, (Shari) Chrimes, Diane (David) Payne, Cindy Warmt; his sister, Marylou Maxon, 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Lucretia Chrimes Green in 2013. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service for Ted on Saturday, June 25th, at Saint George's Episcopal Church in Clifton Park, NY. Visitation begins at 1:30 PM, a Service will be held beginning at 2:30 PM and immediately following please join us for refreshments and a chance to share stories and celebrate his life in St. George's fellowship hall." |
