Vanda was named Wandah at birth, but used the name Vanda thereafter. Vanda was admitted to the Parkside Lunatic Asylum, Lanarkshire, Scotland on 20 April 1889 and was discharged "recovered" on 31 December of the same year. Vanda is the only CHRIMES who appears in New Zealand records. The New Zealand Electoral Roll record is dated 1905 - 1906 so whether Vanda's trip back to England in October 1905 was just a visit, or a permanent return, is not clear. |
