From The Cheshire Observer of 6 April 1957: "LOCAL WEDDINGS MR. M. MURPHY AND MISS E. CRIMES Married at St. Werburgh's Church, on Saturday. Fr. St. John officiating, were Miss E▮▮▮▮ Crimes, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Crimes, of 35, Steven-street, Boughton, and Mr. M▮▮▮▮▮▮ Murphy, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Murphy, 1, Delamere-crescent, West Vale, Kirkby. Given away by her father, the bride was attired in a gown of French lace and carried a bouquet of lemon roses. Her attendants, Miss F▮▮▮▮▮▮▮ Crimes and Miss E▮▮▮▮▮ Murphy, wore lemon net over taffeta and carried bouquets of pink carnations. Mr. R▮▮▮▮▮ Murphy was best man. The reception was held at the Cross Foxes Hotel."
