From The Cheshire Observer of 18 February 1961: "LOCAL WEDDINGS - Mr. J.H. PLEAVIN AND MISS F.E. CRIMES [PHOTOGRAPH] The wedding took place at St. Werburgh's Church, on 4th February, of Miss Florence Elizabeth Crimes, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Crimes, of 35, Steven-street, and Mr. Joseph Harry Pleavin, of 36, Boughton. Father Leonard officiated. The bride wore a navy blue coloured suit with white accessories. The matron of honour was Mrs. M. Murphy, and the best man was Mr. Sidney Edwards. After a reception at the Kingsley Cafe, Mr. and Mrs. Pleavin left for their hoineymoon in London."
