Winifred M Joyce is attached to her mother based on circumstantial evidence only. Her brother Frank Moore is connected to the same mother by his birth certificate. In the 1921 England Census Winifred M Joyce was declared to have the name 'Winnie Harvey' (her step-father). In 1921 Winifred M Joyce was attending school 'Whole Time'. In the 1921 England Census Winifred M Joyce's place of birth was declared to be Nottinghamshire. Winifred M Joyce appears on the 1939 Register as Winifred J Harvey with her mother and her mother's husband George HARVEY. I presume that she continued to use the name Harvey in adulthood. The 1939 Register implies that Winifred subsequently married GLAZIER. A 1962 Manchester marriage record for "Winifred J Glazier" is interesting but has an unexpected surname at marriage. The Deaths Index record gives exact date of birth which matches the 1939 Register. Winifred Joyce's Grant of Administration record reads: "Glazier, Winifred Joyce of 12 Lowood St. Leigh died 06 February 1993 Administration Manchester 01 April not exceeding £125,000." |
