Joseph's baptism record gives both parents' names as MORRIS, presumed to be a clerical error. From The Chester Chronicle of 15 April 1842: "DEATHS 3rd. inst. after a long affliction, Mr. Joseph Crimes, Whitesmith, of Crane-street, in this city, aged 23; he was much endeared to his friends, for his gentle and amiable demeanour." |
