Henry was the illegitimate son of Sarah CRIMES.
From The Bolton Chronicle of 7 January 1865: "Four boys, named Joseph Banks, Henry Crimes, James Brown, and John O'Brien, were drowned on Sunday by the breaking of ice on the reservoir in Curzon Park, Chester." A lengthy report of the incident and of the subsequent inquest appeared in The Cheshire Observer of 7 January 1865, and the following is an extract from that report: "...It is a singular fact, in connection with this unfortunate incident, that O'Brien's mother committed suicide, his aunt was murdered at Liverpool, and his sister recently died in a desponding way. The fathers of the other three boys were all drowned..."
