From The Macclesfield Express of 19 June 1991: "June Brides ... PHOTOGRAPH ... A honeymoon in Corfu followed the wedding of a couple at St. Peter's church, Prestbury. Claire Diane Wilmot, only daughter of Sue and John Wilmot of Withinlee Cottage, Prestbury, was married to Michael Crimes, second son of Iris and Norman Crimes of Ferndale Crescent, Macclesfield. The bride, who works for ICI, wore .... Bridesmaids were Lisa and Louise Bracegirdle and Emma Rose. All wore ballet length floral dresses and flower-trimmed straw hats. Pageboys Craig Bracegirdle and Paul and Wayne Smith wore grey top hat and tails. Chris Lines was best man and Harvey and Maurice Wilmot and James Rose were groomsmen. The couple held their reception at the Tytherington Club. They will make their home in Macclesfield." Unfortunately I have not recorded the reason for assigning the 2004 marriage to this M▮▮▮▮▮▮, which may therefore be incorrectly assigned. CheshireBMD gives the location of the 2004 marriage as "Macclesfield, Civil Marriage or Registrar Attended" |
