From The Cheshire Observer of 16 August 1879: "CITY POLICE COURT - FAMILY JARS - Mary Ann Ellson, a married woman, residing in Watergate-row, was brought up under a warrant, having refused to appear to a summons, charged with threatening bodily injury to Mrs. Sarah Crimes, residing in Fosbrook-street, on the 29th March last - The complainant said that the prisoner, who was her daughter-in-law, was contiually threatening her, and she had at last to take steps to obtain protection. The Magistrates bound the prisoner over, herself in £5, to keep the peace for three months."
From The Cheshire Observer of 17 September 1887: "CITY POLICE COURT - AN UPROAR IN FOSBROOK-STREET Robert and Margaret Pritchard, man and wife, and Sarah Crimes, sister of the former, were summoned on the information of Police-Sergeants Gallagher and Price for committing a breach of the peace in Fosbrook-street on Sunday night. ... Sarah Crimes was bound over in her own recognisances of £5, and two sureties of 50s. each, to keep the peace for a like period [three months], with similar alternative [14 days imprisonment]; and also ordered to pay the costs, or seven days' imprisonment. ..."
