From The Crewe Chronicle of 12 June 1943: "CREWE WEDDINGS - CRIMES-HARRISON The wedding took place at Warmingham-road Chapel, Coppenhall, on Saturday, of Mr. Thomas Crimes, second son of Mr. and Mrs. T. Crimes, Broughton-road, Coppenhall, and Miss Hilda May Harrison, eldest daughter of the late Mr. G.H. Harrison and Mrs. Harrison, 173, Badger Avenue, Crewe. The bridegroom is training for R.A.F. flying duties. The bride, who was given away by her mother, wore ... The Misses Nancy Crimes and Barbara Harrison (sisters of the bridegroom and bride) were bridesmaids, and the trainbearer was Pamela Coaley (cousin of the bride). The best man was Mr. A Crimes (brother of the bridegroom). The reception was held in the N.U.R. Guild Room, Underwood-lane. Afterwards Mr. and Mrs. Crimes left for Llandudno."
