In the 1921 England Census Martha Ann and her husband were living with her parents-in-law. From The Cheshire Observer of 1 November 1968: "Obituary - Death of Mrs. G.A. Crimes The death occurred, on 22nd October, of Mrs. Martha Ann Crimes, aged 75, of 2, School Street, Hoole. Mrs. Crimes was an active member of Hamilton Street Methodist Church, a member of The Church Warden' s Own. She was also a member of the Elderly Ladies' Club, in Hoole. The widow of Mr. G.A. Crimes, she is survived by one son and two daughters. The funeral took place last Friday, when a service at Hamilton Street Methodist Church Hoole was conducted by Rev. G.S. Todd. Mr. E. Evans was the organist. The mourners included: Mr. and Mrs. S.A. Crimes (son and daughter-in-law), Mr. and Mrs. F. Spencer, Mr. and Mrs. W.N. Thomas (sons-in-law and daughters), V. Crimes, M. Spencer, P. Crimes, D. Spencer, P. Cody (grandchildren), Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Crimes (brother-in-law and sister-in-law), ... " |
