Mary Jane was born Q4 1840 as shown on the births index, but not found on ancestry. Mary Jane was named Mary Ann in the 1861 UK Census, but correctly named in the death records. Sadly Mary Jane died at the age of 23. It is interesting that in the 1861 UK Census is Lydia Ann SHILLITO (servant), clearly a relative of Mary Jane's paternal grandmother Lydia SHILLITO. Mary Jane's Administration notice reads: "TICKLE Mary Jane 28 April [1864] Letters of Administration of the Personal Estate of Mary Jane Tickle (wife of Japheph Tickle) late of 4 Holyrood Terrace Rochdale Road in the City of Manchester deceased who died 17 March 1864 at Holyrood Terrace aforesaid were granted at Manchester to the said Japheth Tickle of 4 Holyrood Terrace aforesaid Gentleman he having been first sworn. Effects: under £100" |
