In the 1921 England Census return, George wrote his age as '44 Nov 13'. His birth was registered in 1878 Q4 so a birth date of 13 Nov 1878 is presumed correct, with George seeking to reduce the age difference to his wife in the 1921 England Census.
In 1921 George was employed by Contractor Samuel Hutton of Northwich.
In the 1921 England Census George and Julia had living with them their 12 children and 3 grandchildren (total 17 people) in a property recorded as '3 up, 3 down'!
The death record is consistent with the 1939 Register where George's wife Julia was declared as widow.
