From The Manchester Evening News of 19 March 1945: "ROLL OF HONOUR - CRIMES - On March 16, in a military hospital, JOHN FREDERICK, aged 24, the beloved youngest son of Robert and Mary CRIMES. Service St. Christopher's Church, Thursday, 2 20, prior to interment Southern Cemetery at 3 p.m. He gave his life that we might live."
From The Manchester Evening News of 1 June 1946: "ROLL OF HONOUR - IN MEMORIAM - CRIMES - Cherished 26th birthday memories of our dear son and brother, FRED (D.W.R.), died in England, March 16, 1945. Sweet memories link us till we meet again. Loving MOTHER, DAD, BOB, and EVA." "D.W.R." may be Duke of Wellington's Regiment.
