I have attached George Henry Astbury to his mother Mary solely on the basis of the 1901 UK Census, where George Henry Astbury is grand-son to John CRIMES and Mary HIGNETT, with Mary CRIMES also present. George Henry Astbury was born out of wedlock, but his parents married in 1902. George Henry Astbury appears on the 1911 UK Census as ASTBURY, with his ASTBURY sisters. In the 1921 England Census George Henry and Caroline Jane were living with George Henry's parents at Ashton Hayes. In the 1921 England Census George Henry and Caroline Jane were declared to be man and wife, but they did not in fact marry until 8 years later. In 1921 George Henry was employed by R. Lewis, Farmer of Ashton. George Henry Astbury used the name CRIMES at his 1929 marriage. George Henry Astbury's death record is in the name CRIMES. George Henry Astbury and his wife Caroline's children are named When registering the birth of his first child O▮▮▮▮ M▮▮▮ in 1921, George Henry Astbury declared that he and Caroline Jane were married whereas they did not marry until eight years later. |
