I cannot find Gertrude Mary on the 1901 England Census. On the 1911 England Census Gertrude Mary, named "Mary Chrymes", was cook at a private residential school in Shrewsbury. In 1939 Gertrude Mary (widow) and her child were living with her brother William CHRIMES (single) in Shrewsbury. Gertrude Mary's Grant of Probate reads: "PEACOCK Gertrude Mary of 32 Bishop-street Cherry Orchard Shrewsbury widow died 14 December 1952 Probate Chester 20 January [1953] to Percy Peacock engine driver and William Chrymes retired groom. Effects £1198 16s. 8d." |
