Alfred James was known as James. I cannot find Alfred James on the 1881 UK Census. Alfred James was admitted to Mill Road Hospital (West Derby Union Workhouse) on 22 May 1900 suffering from 'Lunacy'. He was discharged on 26 May 1900 'Uncured', and was transferred to Rainhill Lunatic Asylum on that day, and remained there until his death on 5 February 1907. Alfred James appears not to have married in his short life. |
