In 1841 Samuel was working for his uncle Thomas RAWLINS, miller. In 1848 Samuel emigrated to Australia, arriving New South Wales 27 May 1848 aboard the ship "Thetis". The 1859 marriage is assigned to this Samuel as a second marriage, there being no other Samuel CRIMES in Australia. This marriage was bigamous and Samuel was prosecuted for it. See the 'story' Samuel CRIMES - Bigamist and Policeman in this website. |
