Both Enoch senior b.1799 and Enoch junior b.1831 were coachmen, and used the names CRIMES and CHRIMES, so it is sometimes difficult to assign records to the 'correct' Enoch. Also, both of them seem to have moved house unusually often.
Enoch was imprisoned for 3 days in 1860, the prison admission register giving the following details:
Prison: Belle Vue prison, West Gorton, Manchester
Committed: 10 July 1860
Offence: Drunk
Sentence: Three Days or pay 5/-
Age: 26
Height: 5' 4½
Complexion; Fresh
Hair: Brown
Eyes: Brown
Marks upon person: Scar from cut on forehead, 1 on nose, vaccination mark right arm, scar from scald right thigh, 1 left thigh. 3 scars from boils on back

Person to be advised of discharge: Father Enoch Crimes Grey St. Longsight
Religion: C of E
Extent of Instruction: R & W

A record of admission to the Withington Workhouse, Manchester in 1874 may apply, but the age given is 30 years.
Enoch's death and burial records are in the name CHRIMES.
