In the 1907 Electoral Register record Arthur is shown to have joint ownership of a workshop at '32 Dale Street'.
On the 1911 UK Census Arthur declared that there had been no children to this marriage, but they were only married in 1905. However, as Arthur's wife Eliza Alice was 43 years old in 1911, she is unlikely to have had children thereafter.
In a 1919 Electoral Register record Arthur is shown to have an interest in a property at 261 Stockport Road, Rusholme.
In Electoral Register records for 1920-27 Arthur is shown to be tenant of an allotment at 'Hall Road'.
In 1921 Arthur was employed by Watts Bros. Mfr. Ltd. Hairdressers Outfitters of 70 Cannon St., Manchester.
In a 1928 Electoral Register record Arthur is shown to be tenant of an allotment at Highfield Road.
