Augustus's birth and death records are in the name CHRYMES. The baptism record is in the name CHRIMES. In the 1911 England census Augustus, declared as 'Agustus CRYMES', was in an Institution in Birkenhead. In the 1921 England Census Augustus was 'Patient' at an Institution near Bristol. The 1921 England Census record describes Hanham Hall as "Hanham Hall, Hanham, Near Bristol, Warden Of The incorporation of National Institutions For persons Requiring care & Control". There are probably errors in this transcription, making it difficult to understand the reason for his placement there. Augustus was enlisted into the Royal Tank Corps of the British Army on 26 January 1928. Service Number: 2217058. He appears to have served until at least 1934. I cannot find a marriage record for Augustus. I cannot find Augustus on the 1939 Register. |
