James was indentured as apprentice to the Merchant Navy on 17 May 1856 at Milford [Haven]. The 1861 UK Census shows that he later tranferred to the Royal Navy. I cannot find any records for James beyond 1861 in either of the names CRYMES or CHRYMES. |
