Alice was resident in Crowton in 1901 (daughter of servant) and 1911 (working on farm), these records confirming her place of birth, despite there being an established STUBBS family in Crowton. CHRIMES The death occurred on Monday November 3, of Mrs. H. Chrimes, of Prestbury (and late of Crowton), who was 65. The funeral was at Christ Church, Crowton. Mr. A. Parker said prayers at the home of her brother and the Vicar of Winnington officiated at the Church. The mourners were: Mr. H. Chrimes (widower), Mr. and Mrs. E. Chrimes (son and daughter-in-law), Mr. and Mrs. A Stubbs (brother and sister-in-law), Mr. and Mrs S. Rutter (brother-in-law and sister-in-law). Mr. and Mrs. A Dimelow, Mr. R. Chrimes ..." |
