From The Cheshire Observer of 11 December 1886: "HOOLE LOCAL BOARD. SANITATION Tenders for emptying ashpits, carting nightsoil, etc., were received from the William Crimes, of Hoole, and from Mr. S. Molyneaux, of Handbridge; but as the terms were such as could scarcely be entertained a question arose as to whether it would not be the more economical for the Board to obtain a horse and cart of its own to do the work, and the further consideration was adjourned for a month."
I cannot find William in the 1911 England Census.
From The Chester Chronicle of 9 March 1918: "DEATHS - CHRIMES On February 21st, at Rose Cottage, Hoole Village, William Chrimes, in his 72nd year."
