Elizabeth had eight illegitimate children by Thomas HARDING. They did not marry. In 1871 Elizabeth was aged 36, still single, living with her older brother John, they supposedly looking after their 5 nieces and nephews. I cannot find Elizabeth beyond the 1871 UK Census. The 1891 death and burial records are assigned to this Elizabeth based on age, location and elimination. Unravelling the mystery of Elizabeth and her children would not have been possible without contributions from Philip CRIMES of Cheltenham and Sharon P Chrimes of Kenilworth. |
