From The Chester Chronicle of 8 April 1916: "OSCROFT OBITUARY - It is with regret we announce the death of Mrs. Joseph Crimes, of Oscroft. Deceased had only been ill for a short time, and succumbed to pneumonia on Wednesday. Great sympathy is extended to Mr. Crimes in his sudden bereavement." JOSEPH CRIMES - The funeral took place in St. Andrew's Churchyard on Saturday of Mrs. Joseph Crimes, of Oscroft, whose sudden death we announced last week. The vicar, the Rev. J.H.
