From the newspaper notice of her 1937 marriage: "The bride-elect is a graduate of the Converse College and has done graduate work at Columbia University in New York. She has been associated with the City Schools in Aiken for several years." An obituary for "Mrs. Mary S. Crymes" appeared in The State newspaper of Richland, South Carolina on 16 September 1986 giving place of death as Spartanburg. From the Find-a-Grave record: "She was a graduate of Converse College. She was a retired school teacher. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church." |
