"Alton D" (1910 US Federal Census) and "Alvin" (1920 US Federal Census) are presumed to be the same person.
From a newspaper report of Alton D's death: "Final rites today for A D Crymes auto crash victim. Funeral services for Alton D Crymes, 24 years old, of 656 Moreland avenue, who was almost instantly killed early Sunday night at the intersection of Baker and Ivy streets, when the automobile he was driving struck the rear of another machine, will be conducted at 11 o'clock this morning from the Moreland Avenue Baptist church..... Crymes leaves his parents, Mr & Mrs A E Crymes, a sister, Miss Ethel Crymes, and a brother, Wilbur Crymes."

J. Keen and family, Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Keen, Mrs. Essie Wilson and family, all of Atlanta; Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Crymes and family, of Athens, Ga.; Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Crymes, of Alpharetta, Ga.; Mr. and Mrs. T. P. Chastain and family, of Louisville, Ky., are invited to attend the funeral of Mr. Alton Dudley Crymes this Tuesday morning, January 8, 1929 at 11 o'clock from Moreland Avenue Baptist Church. Rev. V.
