In the 1950 US Census, Judith, 'Sister-in-law', 'Never Married', was living in the household of her sister Elizabeth. From The Monroe News-Star of Monday 12 January 1970: "A former teacher at Ruston High School who says that "Tech has been good to me" has donated 1,000 dollars to Louisiana Tech. The funds will be used to purchase library books. The donor is Miss Judith Crymes, who retired from the Ruston High School faculty in 1955 after a long teaching career in the Lincoln Parish and Union Parish school systems.... Miss Crymes came to Ruston in 1931 after teaching for four years in Union Parish. She took her B A degree from Mississippi State College for Women and her M A degree from Peabody College for Teachers."
