John Marion was known as Jack. A 40-year Fairfax resident, Jack was born in Richmond, VA, where he graduated with distinction from the University of Virginia with a degree in Electrical Engineering. A pioneer in professional remote audio recording, Jack designed and built the world's first mobile audio recording truck for Wally Heider in 1974. Among others, he worked with Bob Dylan, America, Bruce Springsteen, Eric Clapton, Richard Pryor, David Grisman, Mickey Hart, Neil Diamond, Rush, Van Morrison, Tom Waits, Paul McCartney, Natalie Cole and The Grammy Awards" |
