From Find-a-Grave: "Deborah 'Debe' Scott went to be with the Lord on August 16, 2016. She leaves behind her beloved family, which includes her husband of 48 years, R▮▮, three children: C▮▮▮▮▮▮, R▮▮▮, and E▮▮▮▮; eight grandchildren and a sister, P▮▮▮▮ Mulligan, of Indianapolis, In. A member of Greenville Baptist Church, Debe sang in the choir, taught Sunday School, and served as the church clerk. She was also involved in many community activities, including the Greenville Heritage Committee, the Straw Hat Literary Book Club, and the Red Hatters. She served as Secretary and President of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 131, was the President of the Greenville Woman's Club, and a Board Member/Secretary of the Treasurers of Madison County. Debe retired after 31 years of teaching in the Madison County School District. She was an artist and enjoyed traveling. Funeral services took place at Greenville Baptist Church on Saturday, Aug. 20, 10 a.m., with internment following at Evergreen Cemetery in Greenville, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations were directed to the following organizations: American Cancer Society, Madison Chapter of The Gideon's, and Treasurers of Madison County."
