From The London Gazette of 10 November 1936: Civil Service Appointments: Post Office: Male Sorting Clerk and Telegraphist (Postal), Liverpool District, Ernest Crimes." From The Liverpool Echo of 2 July 1955: "Crimes Wins By 7 And 6 Cheshire Golf Championship. Ernest Crimes, 44-years old Bidston Admiralty clerk. won the Cheshire amateur golf championship at Wallasey to-day, beating Ralph Whalley, a member of the home club, by 7 and 6." Following the death of his first wife, Ernest married, for second time, to Kathleen Mary Owen nee ADAMSON in 1970. She also died at Birkenhead. |
