Sailing from Liverpool yesterday (Thursday) bound for Hong Kong was 21-year old Miss S▮▮▮▮▮ Martin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G L Martin, of 25 Fishtoft Road, Boston. Waiting for her there is her fiancée, Sergt. John Chrimes, of the RAF, and they hope to be married within about a week of her arrival. Miss Martin met her future husband, who is in the accountancy branch of the RAF, when he was stationed at Coningsby. He has been in Hong Kong for the past eighteen months, and expects to be out there for another year before returning to this country. Miss Martin was formerly employed by Mr. Gus Smalley, the Dolphin Lane photographer, and before that she worked at Messrs. Robinson's drapers' shop in New Street." |
