From The Sunday Times Sydney of 15 August 1915: "WEDDINGS - SMITH - FOSTER-CHRIMES [sic] At St. Fiacre's Church, Leichhardt, the wedding of Charles Cresswell Smith, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Chappell Smith, of Leichhardt, with Mary Josephine (Mollie), only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Foster-Chrimes [sic], was celebrated by the Rev. Father Peoples on July 24. The bride's gown .... Miss Sadie Blackburn, attired in pink pauette and tulle, acted as bridesmaid. Miss Mary Blackburn, in a white crepe-de-chine frock relieved with pink, was train-bearer. Mr. Norman Mossop was best man. The reception was held at the residence of the bride's parents." The Death Notice for her father gives Mary J's name as "Mollie". I cannot find a death record for Mary J. |
