From The Clitheroe Advertiser and Times of 11 April 1952: "WEDDING - LOYND-CHRIMES The wedding has taken place in Coventry of Mr. William Herd Loynd, son of Mrs. M. Loynd, of Claremont, Clitheroe, and the late Mr. J. Loynd, and Miss Anita Chrimes. The bride and bridegroom are both employed at the Armstrong Siddley works in Coventry and among the wedding gifts were cheques from their colleagues on the works and office staff. After the ceremony, at which the bride wore a blue corduroy suit with pale-blue hat and gloves, Mr. and Mrs. Loynd left for their honeymoon, which was spent touring Devon and Cornwall. They will reside at Hintingdon-road, Coventry." |
