Gertrude Amelia was named CRIMES at birth but used the name CHRIMES at marriage. W.r.t. the 1921 England Census, "Cottage House" appears to have been an institution administered by the Chester Board of Guardians, the residents being described as 'Boarder'. In the 1921 England Census Gertrude Amelia was attending school 'Whole Time'. CheshireBMD gives the location of the 1933 marriage as "Chester, Civil Marriage or Registrar Attended" From The Chester Chronicle of 15 Jan 1944: "Mr. and Mrs. CHRIMES (father and mother) and Family of the late Mrs. May wish to thank relatives and friends for kindness, sympathy and floral tributes during their recent bereavement." |
