Eleanor Dorothy was known as Nellie. In 1921 Eleanor Dorothy was employed by Standard Plate Works of Kenyon St., Birmingham. In 1939 the sisters Eleanor Dorothy, Winifred Grace and Lilian Eugenie were living together in Harts Hill, all single. Eleanor Dorothy's death record gives the wrong date of her birth, but is nevertheless credible and is confirmed by the probate record. On that basis, she did not marry. Eleanor Dorothy's Grant of Probate reads: "CHRIMES, Eleanor Dorothy of Hilworth Stourbridge Rd Harts Hill Brierley Hill West Midlands died 17 April 1975 Probate Birmingham 6 June £6803" |
