From The Rome Sentinel October 21, 1924: "Mrs. Thomas Chrimes, 70, died between 3 and 4 o'clock this morning in the Rome Infirmary after a short illness with pneumonia. Besides her husband, a brother, M. C. Claffey of Rome, a sister, Mrs. Nellie Richardson of Monponsett, Mass., and two nephews, Frank Claffey and Walter Claffey of Holyoke, Mass. survive. Mary Claffey Chrimes was born in Rome, where she always lived. She was a daughter of the late Patrick and Catherine Claffey. Ten years ago she was married in Zion Episcopal Church by the former rector, Rev. Eugene S. Pearce. She was a woman of retiring disposition but had many friends. They will join with her family in sorrow." |
