Joseph's marriage certificate has been obtained, showing that his father was William CHRIMES, this being the only record to link him to his parents.
On that basis and with no other evidence Joseph's brothers William b.1820 and Thomas b.1823 are also linked to the same parents.
Joseph's marriage record has been mis-transcribed as CHRINES but is clearly CHRIMES in the index. This is why FreeBMD and Ancestry.co.uk fail to find the CHRIMES record.
From The Wellington Journal of 27 June 1896: "BOMERE HEATH SUDDEN DEATH OF OLD INHABITANT. - Mr. Joseph Crimes, who. was apparently in the best of health on Sunday night, was found dead in bed on Monday morning by his daughter, Mrs. Hughes, with whom he lived. Mr. Crimes, who was 78, was well known and highly respected in the neighbourhood. He had been attended by Dr. Wigham, of Shrewsbury, for heart disease."
