John Harold may have been known as Harold. In 1921 John Harold was attending school 'Whole Time'. From The Staffordshire Sentinel of 17 November 1938: "For exceeding the 30 miles an hour speed limit when driving a motor-car in High-street, Sandyford, on November 5th, John Harold Crimes, of Westmere, Church-road, Alsager, was fined £1 at Tunstall Police Court on Tuesday. Defendant did not appear, but sent a letter admitting the offence." From The Staffordshire Sentinel of 11 March 1950: PHOTOGRAPH "Mr. J.E.
