The Births Index and 1911 England Census records are in the name Edith Joyce, but thereafter records are for Joyce Edith. In 1921 Joyce Edith was attending school 'Whole Time'. Several GenesReunited trees give place of birth as Skelmersdale, but this error may be due to the alternative forenames. Despite the marriage record being merely in the name Joyce E, it is assigned to this Joyce because there are no other candidates and her sisters were also married in Madeley district. Likewise the Death Index record for Joyce Edith Hayward is compelling. Joyce Edith's Grant of Probate reads: "HAYWARD, Joyce Edith of 36 Portley Rd Dawley Telford Salop died 6 November 1990 Probate Birmingham 10 January [1991]." |
