Thomas Hankinson CRIMES b.1816 Halton and Thomas Hankinson CRIMES b.1851 Urmston were uncle and nephew (this person).
There were bankruptcy proceedings recorded in The London Gazette during the years 1866 to 1877, but as both holders of the name were joiners, and both were residents of Halton, it is difficult to assign the proceedings.
I cannot find Thomas Hankinson in the 1881 or 1891 England Census.
