Charles would have married Ann Eliza between 1858 (him 18) and 1871 (married on census).
On the 1871 census (the first after their marriage) there are no children, likewise 1881 and 1891, so I presume that they had none.
In the 1891 census Charles Edward and Ann Aliza are joined by Frederick M Watson, nephew, 23, single, mechanical engineer, born Aldridge, Staffordshire.
That makes him the son of Ann Eliza's brother.
Charles Edward and his wife Ann Eliza appear on the 1911 census. Charles Edward declared that 2 children had been born to his marriage, both of whom had died.
Charles Edward's Probate record reads: "CHRIMES Charles Edward of Selwood, Rotherham, Yorkshire died 28 November 1914 Probate London 29 January [1915] to Frederick Mackman Watson brass and iron founder Charles Herbert Moss Chartered Accountant and John Charles Gill retired bank manager Effects: £282,094 13s 3d".
From The Sheffield Daily Telegraph of 6 February 1915: "Re. Charles E. Chrimes, deceased Selwood Gardens, Doncaster Road, Rotherham... Merryweather and Son have received instructions from the Trust of the late C.E. Chrimes, Esq., to SELL by AUCTION the whole of the GREENHOUSE and other PLANTS, including a large assortment of ORCHIDS, FERNS, etc..."
Charles Edward was the subject of a notice in The London Gazette of 7 May 1915 seeking claimants to his estate.
