| Without the marriage record, I am unable to find Mary's birth surname. No other researchers have found Mary's birth surname. Mary may be Mary DALE, based on the logic of descendency derived from her daughter Mary's 1851 census record. Mary was married in the 1851 census, aged 23, so she must have married 1845-1851. The only credible marriage record for Robert YEARSLEY during this period is Oct-Dec 1847 at Great Boughton [Chester] but on the same page there are 2 Mary's: Mary DALE and Mary Ann HIGGINSON. The marriage may have been held away from Norley because Mary was pregnant with their child, who was born 11 October 1847. I need to obtain the marriage certificate to confirm this suspicion. Her death record matches the fact that from the census, she died between 1871 and 1881. |
