Ernest's birth record is in the name CHRIMES, but all records thereafter are in the name CRIMES. In 1921 Ernest was 'Assisting grandfather John Crimes of Dairy Farm, Davenham'. From The Crewe Chronicle of 16 March 1967: "PERSONAL Mr. Ernest Crimes, of Dairy Farm, Davenham, near Northwich, who died on December 27, left £4,858 6s. (gross), £4,768 6s. (net). Probate has been granted to the widow, Mrs. Florence E. Crimes." |
