Albert Clarence was named Clarence Albert at birth.
Albert Clarence appears on many Electoral Roll records, but I cannot find a marriage record.
From The Record (Emerald Hill, Victoria) of 13 December 1924: "UNREGISTERED MOTOR CYCLE - Albert Chrimes, of Ferrars street, South Melbourne, was proceeded against in Port Melbourne Court on a complaint of having failed to register a motor cycle. In support of the complaint evidence was given that an offensive noise made by defendant's machine in Bay street on November 16 attracted the attention of Constable D.D. Atkins who, upon interviewing Chrimes, found he had failed to register the cycle. A fine of 20/- was imposed."
From The Frankston and Somerville Standard of 3 April 1936: "UNDERSIZED FLOUNDER FISHERMAN FINED Albert Clarence Chrimes of Carrum pleaded guilty at the Frankston Court on Tuesday to a charge of having had in his possession on January 5 a number of undersized flounder. Robert Gray Ford, an inspector under the Fisheries and Game Act, said that he saw Chrimes with a net on the beach at Seaford. Among fish in the possession of Chrimes he found 18 flounder of which seven measured from 5 inches to 7 inches. The minimum size allowed by the Act was 9 inches. Chrimes, who admitted a previous conviction for having taken fish out of a net in less than one foot of water, was fined £3 with 6/4 costs."
From The Frankston and Somerville Standard of 28 August 1936: "RECEIVING ALLEGED - ACCUSED MAN GIVEN BENEFIT OF DOUBT Alfred [sic] Clarence Chrimes of Seaford, was charged at Frankston Court on Tuesday with having received on or about August 3, a gun and cartridge belt, knowing that they had been unlawfully come by. Chrimes, who was defended by Mr R. C. Taylor, pleaded not guilty.... [detailed witness statements] .... Mr C. W. Grant, J.P., said that there was a reasonable doubt whether Chrimes suspected that the gun was stolen and the case would be dismissed. Mr C. Gray, J.P., said that the Bench wanted to warn the accused that the Court's decision was by only a very narrow margin. While glving him the benefit of the doubt the Bench warned him to be very careful in future."
