From The Staffordshire Sentinel of 17 September 1928: "BURSLEM WEDDING - Mr. Frank Mitchell and ? Lillian [sic] Chrimes. An interesting wedding took place at St. Paul's Church, Burslem on ? between Miss Lillian [sic] Chrimes, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. Chrimes, of Ventnor ? Burslem, and Mr. Frank Mitchell, son ? Mr. and Mrs. C. Mitchell, of West ? Porthill. Both families are well ? and highly respected, the bride's father ? until recently carried on business as ? in Burslem. There was a large attendance at the church.....The bride, who was given away by her uncle, Mr. F Jones....There were three bridesmaids - Miss Chrimes (sister of the bride), Miss Mitchell (sister of the bridegroom) and Kathleen Johnson (friend of the bride)...A reception was held at the home of the bride's parents, where about ? assembled, and later in the day the married couple left for their honeymoon in Blackpool..."
